While you are at it, why don't you just take a headset and some pilot's material, it is also quite expensive. People (or a person) has put in many hours of hard work into that, and probably sacrificed a lot of family time in the hope that, yes, maybe it will help pay the bills one day. Your attitude sucks big time!! 
I know, I myself have slaved over the keyboard and mouse for MANYEARS after hours trying to develop courseware and software.
