Ex South African Airforce B707 movement?

Anyone have information on a recent departure from South Africa of one of the old B707's from the SAAF? Appears it has moved offshore recently, to points unknown, and under unknown registration...

cheers

Lightbulb

it has moved offshore recently
Now there's a challenge for the photoshoppers out there - a 707 on a mighty pair of Wipline 200,000s!

I saw one in ABQ last week and rumours were that it was a repo from South Africa. It was mostly white with blue stripes and a N reg.
Who knows.

Just for info........how many of these B707's did the SAAF have...4??

1415 gone to Star Dynamic's Aviation (N707SE)

1417 gone to the chopping block.(Nose section to the SAAF museum)...

Will the SAA museum still receive one?

The museum has a whole one too. Don't know the tail number though.

Beautiful aircraft. Wish I had one with CFM 56's.

It's sitting on a general aviation ramp in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The paint job seems to be unchanged.

I think it was bought from the SAAF by Dodson International. Same guys who have the ex-SAAF turbodaks.

707 movement

I was part of the crew. PIC was the infamous Bob Koziol. Did such an incredibly scary job of flying the plane I looked him up in the FAA registry. He does not have a type in the aircraft. The aircraft though was VERY clean and flew very nicely.
