Cheetahs over Northcliff

While walking up Northcliff hill on Sunday morning saw two Cheetahs in tight formation pass directly overhead. Could not have been more than several hundred foot agl and really klapping it. Beautiful sight. Does anyone know where they were going and why? Not often one sees this on a Sunday morning over JHB.

Two Cheetahs are still active as flight test platforms, and either fly out of FAJS (Denel) or FAOB (TFDC).

Would assume they were heading to FAOB.

Quite right Mr Pirate, they were on their way to Overberg. They in fact departed IF but due to the low cloud had to remain below to stay in formation.

They climbed at about 20nm JSV.

Great racket on the ground I'm sure.
