Wink Top Brass Aviation

So they call themselves The Top Brass Aviation. The new startup making the news around town.

One of my expatriate colleagues on the Q400 just kept going on and on about them and their current status in town. All I could understand from his knowledge of this new startup is that its full of the Local Top Brass boys in our industry.

I know AERO and Eagle have both lost their Top Brass boys to them and I gather more are on their way out to fly Embraers, HS, Q400 and apparently I gather from another Aero source of mine the Boeing BBJ which I find a bit thrilling . Looks like the corporate aviation sector in Nigeria is undergoing a new and sudden growth again, but I am not surprised after our competition in the commercial aviation sector decided to give up most of their lucrative deals with the Oil industry and focus on their B737 market.Which I find so amazing.

So the way I see it if Top Brass is on the board as the place to be and are offering the real deal to its staff then they must have picked up some real Top Brass deals, maybe even deals that have suddenly come out in the market that have been held by another 50yrs old corporate giant for as long as I can imagine.

So who are or is the wizz Kid in Top Brass or behind them thats making all this big time news all over town cos at the end of the day flying the NG as a commercial kid might not be too bad in these times of our industry but a BBJ from Lagos to Trinidad or some exotic place looks quite thrilling for me and I would not mind to vacate my current position for someone who needs the post .

So like I stated earlier they call themselves Top Brass and my question is, who is Top Brass.

Top Brass is by the Top Brass for the Top Brass. You know, that old Africa thingy, like; by the people for the people; and, one man one vote - one time!

Africa full of catchy phrases and airlines with catchy names!

I met the President/CEO of Top Brass at Uyo, Nigeira. He gave me his business card and asked for me to send him a CV. Naturally I did it the same night. However, the email was returned undeliverable and the website didn't work. I'm always surprised by people who hand out business cards with information that's out of date or just plain wrong.

Hahahaha, and you just had to post it here on pprune eh, well you can kiss that job you dreaming about goodbye Alaskaborn

Did it even occur to you there was something wrong with their system...

"I met the President CEO of TopBrass blah blah blah ......lol like you could meet the CEO of Netjets in Geneva and just get a card ehh...

Oh well TopBrass is flying, doing good bizness and will gradually grow into a nice, little, well to do Nigerian owned airline "Nigerian owned" for Nigerians, this I gather from the great but discreet inside house Naija aviation grapevine.

Top Brass

I think, I am able to shed some light of this mystery. Topbrass is not an airline or operator but a charter broker but with a structure of a 121 carrier. AOC is under Skypower, which is basically a dead AOC holder, originating out of former Nigerian Airlines. 2 HS-125's one 1000 owned by NAC, Lanseria the other one owned by some private 3rd party entity. The 4000, they proudly present on the website, is owned by a company called Jaguar Jets, which is an offshore company represented by DTD services. As to my knowledge DTD is operating the a/c themselves. Owner of Top Brass is Roland Iyayi (may have misspelled here), former Aero executive, which got sacked in the restructuring process of the company. So was the current Chief Maintenance and the Chief Pilot. Lots of Rumors but nothing good, even though I have not heard of any defaults on expat pilot salaries.

Thumbs up reeeeply

yes, they have a great range of staff. Their Pilots pay is beleieved to be from around N5M - N15M. They have a great force behind them. Former Aero Executive, Rowan Iyayi is now their CEO and President. Former HRG General Manager, Carolyn Williams is now their Chief Commercial officer. Their other senior team are from various backgrounds such as Nigerian Airlines and Aero contractos. They are the newest competitor on the market!!!! WATCH OUT!..lol

Hi Bob93

Please confirm you are not TopBrass' Public Relations Officer. If so, please help with the request below.

Since you've indicated what a driver can expect to earn in Top Brass, please let me know what i can earn as the new PR officer, i am highly and suitably qualified and i want your job!

Because you are doing a crap job at it!

Grrr Let me tell u small

Firstly, maybe your blind as well as stupid, because i did not state how much their DRIVER was paid, but how much their PILOTS are paid.
Secondly, no i am not their PR officer, i just happened to have used their services recently. and their senior managers were introducing a new aircraft to their fleet so i had the priviledge of meeting them. they are quite expencive, but worth the money.(Approx. N1m from lagos to abuja)
Their managers are very westernised and respectful. UNLIKE YOU and thats why even if you were the last person on earth, they would not hire you as a PR officer. so go and get an OKADA job or something, because your attitudes suites them!!

Easy Tiger!

You obviously don't know what a driver is in this sector and because of your state of mind right now, i will assume you are not in the mood to learn. So, go figure matey!

I can see that you are not a PR man, what a cheap way to advertise how much it costs to fly from X to Y. Smart move geezer!

Finally, word for the wise - expand your horizon, it will do a lot of good.

Happy Landings.

Grrr

Ha ha ha! you know what, you are soo schizophrenic that you have decided to convince your useless mind that im a PR officer, but dont worry, I dont argue with people that are obviously suffering mentally!
Dont fool yourself, in the aviation industry, they still call Pilots, PILOTS! and definately not DRIVERS so YOU go figure!
But I dont blame you, people like you have nothing else to do but to come and talk rubbish.
As Ive said before, consider a job in the OKADA industry maybe then youll definately be a DRIVER, and you can be a PR officer for other useless minds like yourself.
