Was there a month or so ago and from a freight perspective, their "hi-loader" could not reach the sill of the main deck of an A300F!!
There is a Mil-8 shuttle to take you downtown. Georgian registered and Bulgarian crewed. I was told it was $100 return for the 7 minute trip or up to 5 hours by pot holed road

Thanks superspotter.
A web trawl shows that the main problem is getting to town - I see that there used to be a hovercraft service - any idea if it is working at the moment?

No the hovercraft is still out of action. There are ferries across the bay but they are consistently late, and breakdown, otherwise the heli. Driving is not an option. Nice place though, with friendly people, I enjoyed my time there
