Light aircraft down near Springs-East Rand

Pilot, passenger treated for shock
8 May 2009, 13:05 SAPA

A light aircraft crashed behind a school in Springs, east of Johannesburg, on Friday, Ekurhuleni police said.

Captain Julia Klaasen said two people aboard the micro aircraft were treated for shock after it crash-landed behind a high school in Sarel Cillier Street.

They were not injured.

"The pilot crash-landed the plane after one of the pamphlets they were distributing got stuck in the engine," she said.
