Well, that was certainly not the treatment I got on my way back to SA from Paris when the AF flight was cancelled a couple of months ago. Yes there was waiting, but we were kept well "in the loop". They also booked us into nearby hotels. Hotel was clean, just incredibly small. Took me 10 minutes to figure out one has to stand on the toilet, then close the bathroom door, and lo and behold, there the shower appears... Suppose most budget european hotels are like that. SA standards are most definately going to the dogs, or our northern neighbours...
