Watz up in Upington?

It seems that a whole bunch of MD88's are being flown into Upington (more than 20), possibly ex Alitalia machines. Looks like Safair are in on this deal. Anyone got any info??

Yes aircraft are owned and are going to be operated by SAFAIR.

These are all ex Alitalia DC-9-82 aircraft recently sold by the Alitalia administrator - 21 delivered so far. What on earth are Safair going to do with them all ?

They belong to AERGO CAPITAL who bought SAFAIR and was leased to AIR ITALIA. Think more to come
