Would anyone have information on where and how to get in contact with 1Time and Safair about MD80 pilot jobs?

Looking for MD80 contract job.

Kind regards,

Would the Safair money be better than 1Time? As far as I remember Safair was a very nice company to work for, and if so, it's worth a look.

Thumbs up

Dexterdaug...not sure who you fly for but if there is one thing 1Time has that no other airline has here in SA...That they have a great bunch of crew..whether it be Air or Cabin.....The guy asking might not have a job and wants to pay the bills...And lets just ask why he wants 1Time an not Comair...The MD is a far superior aircraft than a 737-200/400.....

Dont Think So!!!

The MD80 series are not better then the B737-300/400. Maybe the MD90 (B717). Then why are there so many B737s in world. The B737-300 out performs the MD80 by far.
At least that is my exp.
But I do stand to be corrected.

Spongebathbob: The crew at 1Time are not the point of discussion here, having great crew to work with does not "pay the bills", as you put it. The point is, however, that there are companies out there who operate the MD (and other types), where you can earn a respectable salary. In my opinion, paying the bills trumps the warm, fuzzy feeling of working with fantastic crew anyday. Could this be the reason for the relatively high crew turnover at 1Time?

Having flown both the fluffy and MD, however, I must agree with your statement that the MD outdoes the B737 (excluding the -800) in ALL areas.

I guess having nice people to work with makes the low salary bitter pill slightly easier to swallow for those that have to.

And 4engine jock, as for the the logic saying that because there are more of a certain type of aircraft in the world makes it a better plane, doesn't really add up. then we could say that a BMW is a better car than a Ferrari or something similar purely becasue there are more BM's around??

73 is awesome, MD sadly is under rated. and yes that would be becasue there are less of them. just hope I have the chance to fly both one day!!!

take it easy out there!!!
