Zambezi Airlines @ LUN
Hi All
Can anyone give us some information on Zambezi Airlines based in Lusaka.
I see they charter the E120 and have plans for B733 in Jan, but what is the Management like and are they good to work for? Any Q3 flyers considering move? Would be interested to hear from you all.

Their website claims Zambezi Airlines started operating on 15 July 2008. Did they start then? What routes do they now fly and what are the frequencies? What aircraft types are they using and are they owned or leased? Who are the management and owners?
What routes is Zambian Airways operating? What are their frequencies? What aircraft are they using? There was a thread that indicated they might have some financial problems.
Is Proflight still doing scheduled flights? If so, on what routes and what is their frequency? What was the outcome of Proflight CEO Tony Irwin and another being arrested for theft of an aircraft and money laundering a while back?
Something needs to be explained. Surely there is not enough internal traffic in Zambia for three scheduled operations.

They are leasing the 120's from Naturelink, dunno about the new ventures with the boeings. When I was working in Zambia last year they were running schedules from Lusaka to Mfuwe and Ndola. As I remember it was 6 days a week.
The 1st of two 737-500's is parked over at Safair in JNB at the moment...will be ferried in due course to Lun to commence operations. -giraffe spots on tail/engines.
Some crew training at Comair (JNB). Will need more crew, especially F/O's, ratings obviously help. I'm sure their contact details are on the website-have not checked!
Lets hope they last longer then previous operators......
