Unemployed CE Crew

How many of the Nationwide crew are still unemployed?
Where are most of them going/now flying?

Love flying, hate management.

Quite a few. Where there was once a tiny little demand, now there is once again a massive oversupply.

6 Captains and 6 FO's from CE been offered a 4 month contract with Comair with options (subject to the normal interview process) of full-time employment.
They will fly the 737-200's allowing the Company to catch up on their in-house training and upgrades.

Well done guys!

One question:-

Are the Captains going to be flying as Captains? If so and permanent positions are offered are they going to be returned to f/o's? Direct entry command at Comair - Never thought that I would see that!

"Direct entry command at Comair - Never thought that I would see that!". Maybe about time Comair wakes up after loosing everybody to Emirates...What's the big deal about direct entry Captains anyway? Does Comair really think they're that top class in aviation?? Please.....

Exactly, that why they stick to their policy and only ungrade from within-lots of very capable and suitable co-pilots ready to fill potential captain's positions.

You won't. All permanent appointments will be through the normal selection and only as first officers.

I counted about 65 boxes with names when I was there. There were 9 of us who started as new hires in April. 7 for the 732 and 2 for the 767.
