Thanks Skygod for your reply
actually seems u hate the military heads at Egyptair
however I.M.H.O
i think that the current management has done a lot
when i say the current management i mean Mr.Atef Abd Al Hamid the ex-ceo and the new Ceo. that just got his way to the desk less than 2 weeks ago
12x New 737NGs with the latest technologies on all of them
12x New EMB 170s
3X A330
5X 777-300ER
and soon they will get rid of the 737-500 and the 320/321
sure they will add more new a/cs to the fleet
What do you think and what you don't like about MS for now ?

Está servira para distraerle.
It is an absolutely beautiful livery and the decision to ennoble aircraft with the face of Horus is a most historically suitable one. Among other things, Horus is God of the Skies and so the use of his divine, one eyed profile, to decorate their flying machines should bring good fortune and safe flying to the aircraft of Egyptair.
However, bearing in mind that something like 80% of the population of Egypt is Sunni Muslim, one does wonder, in an idle sort of way, you understand, when some religious chappie, or otherwise, is going to drift out of a possible state of somnambulation in order to announce that the use of pagan, pantheistic figureheads is blasphemous?
This might not involve Egyptair in as costly a paint, repaint exercise as British Airways had to undergo when it discovered that Mr Atkinsons(?) idea of childrens' Chinese tail paintings was not quite as politely non pornographic as he might have imagined. But, one conjectures that the removal of Horus from all of the national carriers' aeroplanes would be a costly exercise nonetheless and one which, in truth, might offend the God himself.
As one must keep reminding the female members of one's household; it does not do to upset the divine ones in whose gentle care reposes the delectation of your silken bodies.

Egyptair
SU,
I dont hate no one in Egypt Air.
Your own words say its all "MILITARY HEADS AT EGYPTAIR" When I say management I refer to a structured environment, where descions are made based on management board meetings, not MILITARY HEADS, you make it sound like were going into a WAR. I believe Egypt is part of a democracy.
The best airlines in the world today are run based on good descion, and good CRM skills between all of its employees. Egypt Air has been in existence for quite a long time.why arent we as big as the rest?. e.g Emirates. When you have Military heads in control, theres no democracy. You have to admit to your mistakes to move on in life, and no one in Egyptair can step up to your so called ex-military management.
ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD, my freind.Whats beneath the colors is what counts. dont be fooled. ur coments welcomed.
regards,
skygod

Dear Skygod
I am sorry if you missunderstood my words but I Don't mean anything wrong towards you neither towards anyone at Egyptair
All what i mean is just that a lot of aviation experts here in Egypt criticize Egyptair managment as they are all ex-airforce men
(For Example : all of Egyptair express managment is Ex air force men )
I do agree with you about the democracy that is absent in Egyptair and ppl are wondering why Atef abd al hamid ex-ceo quit (as they say) although there are rumors that he was forced to quit
however I hope you got my point and at the end all of us have the same ambition/goal which is to see Egypair our national carrier the best airline ever
Best Regards
Ahmed Hassan

Just out of curiosity , does anybody know why Abdel Hamid left his job 2 weeks ago ?
I personally think that he did a great job at Egyptair , turning the company to be profitable and modernizing the fleet and greatly improving the image of Egyptair as a good carrier with better customer service .
