Jetstar applications

Anybody had feedback from Jetstar?

I was interviewed in January and two references contacted but all gone quite. Any news from other applicants?

Check references

Have also not heard a thing.

References won't talk to me . I think they may be upset, I did break their arms while I was twisting though.

The referance check was about a 20-30 phone call, with lots of questions.

Maybe your referees were on the downstroke when the call came through?

Thank guys,

I’ve spoken to references and know them well so definitely not the problem.

Have any of you been offered jobs yet or still waiting to hear? I’m sure you were also told 1 month….

The reason I'd say you havn't heard anything might have something to do with the voting down of an EBA!
As for the 457 Visas?

Good friend had his refferences checked and has been submitting all kinds of documentation ever since. He's writing his exams next month for the ATPL.

The voting down of the EBA played into the hands of J* management regarding this isue. Now new recruits can still enter into individual contracts into the left seat. Go figure!

The 457 visa isn't the be-all and end-all, there are so many South Africans in Oz now, a sponsored recidency is actually a better option.

EBA = Enterprise Bargaining Agreement

It's the agreement regarding T&C's for a certain group inside an organisation.

An EBA will normally also be for a certain time span, whereafter a new agreement will be in force.

I'm a Boeing driver and also still doing the submitting thing
