Southwest Aviation Nigeria
Hello everyone,
Just in, I hear an ex VK and B3 pilot is opening up a charter service out of ABV.
I hear the plan is to acquire 6 HS-125-800XP's, one Lear 60, and a couple of EMB-145's.
I saw the papers of registration at the Aviation ministry today and it seems to be backed by some very highly placed Govt officials, cos i saw the man at the airport later accompanied by quite a few dignitaries.
A friend of mine had a talk with him and the deal sounds quite promising from how it was explained to me.
According to the story as explained, operations are expected to commence before august of this year.
Good luck and happy landings to the well deserved entrepreneur.

I hope they run a decent operation. Nigeria needs a decent charter operation. The charter sector is dominated by fly-by-nite operators (Wings, associated, Kings). There definitely is a market for executive charter.
