I received an e-mail from a friend (S.A.A.) who attended on Monday. He confirmed about 100 of them. Tim said CX need 350 pilots his year.
Biggest problem is right of abode in Europe and North America for most.
He said the S/O money is not good enough. I really don’t know how he does his sums. Do he really think that anyone will pay him the same as he is (was ??) paid at S.A.A. from day one. Just his housing in H.K. will be more than his current salary. Low taxes, schooling paid, low interest on mortgage etc.
I am past the point where I am trying to convince anyone to move or change. I am VERY happy with my decision to be here, so everyone for himself. But I would not be a good friend if I don’t point out the fact that they were spoiled for to long and he must look at the medium turn. Have at least a 5 year plan. If you will earn anywhere near Mango salary in the future then CX, even the freighter, look very attractive.
Then there is job security………one is cutting routes, the other has at least 23 shinny new jets arriving.
Head out the sand friends.

I don't think it's case of''head out of the sand'',but I think it's a case of what SAA and it's board of directors will decide what should happen to SAA on 5 Non 2007......D-DAY !
If Khaya ask us nicely we will leave and find alternative employment.....because we can,so the ball has been put into his court and the boys and girls that drive''his''machines has made it known to him that we WILL and CAN leave should he wish ! (Khaya's wish to assist transformation, affirmative action BEE etc)
Wonder how he will explain this to tax payer that''his''aircrafts are parked due to no crew !!But then again he can just crew from India and the Far East to assist with his tempory hic-up he created !
But then again this is just what I think !! Untill then, I just ''go'' past start every month and collect my bucks and go home ! Because the pilots are just SH1T in his eyes !!

NEWS ALERT !!!! India and the Far East crying for pilots
you might end up in a strong position of negotiation Bianchi.
Or so I hope for my friends and myself, the less S.A.A. guys apply in the international market the more chance of my conditions improving.

Beta Light,
When I said''he can just crew it from pilots from the far east and india''I was very sarcastic, however Khaya believe he can, he clearly does'nt know what's happening out there re crew shortages worldwide, but then again he does'nt know what he's doing re managing SAA either, again just what I think !!
