Question Flying Safari

Have a friend in the US who flew tourists out on safaris in Africa, Kenya to be specific. How is the job situation there right now?

Tough to find any openings at all? Are there any?

Unhappy

Looking at the small plane end, up to light twins.
Zimbabwe - Very short of pilots, but unfortunately almost zero chance of work permits for foreigners.
South Africa - Not to bad, but hard unless you have hit 1000 hrs.
Botswana - bit better, especially if you have some Tourist/Bush Strip experience.
Zambia - a few spots open, my company is looking for two at the moment, but we are expecting a crack down on work permits. We prefer to recruit from South Africa but you can email a SHORT SUMMARY CV for us to have a look. We are looking for a single C182 - C210, and a twin up to C401.

Cool

Just a small snippet of advice for all those 'budding' safari pilots.

Make sure you 'pee' on your aircraft tyres, thus marking your territory to discourage hyenas from nibbling them.
