Wink Canadian licence good in Africa??

Wondering if any one can help me out. I am currently studying for a CPL MULTI IR in Canada. I will be 20 when i finish, and have about 200 hrsTT. Would i need to convert my licence to fly in Africa? Am i likely to find a job over there with such low hours?
Thanks for any help, i have been reading this forum for a while and Africa sounds very interesting. Oh i am Not a Canadian, i am British, would that make a difference in anything???(like visas etc). Thanks again,
Dan.
