Aviation Sans Frontiers - related to Medicines Sans Frontiers, based Brussels and France...try www.asfbelgium.org or tel: +32 2 7532470 or +33 1 49 757437...not sure how current this data is...
Most Red X work done by local operators or by operators usually from Eastern Europe with L410 and AN24/26 from what I have seen.

Hi,
You might want to take a look at the website of AirServ, a humanitarian aid organization based in the US, but they do a lot of work in Africa, and, mind you, they are non-religious, as opposed to the MAF, who definitily are (I don't know if that's an issue for you - or for them, in times of pilot shortage). The adress: www.airserv.org
Cheers and good luck. If I ever have enough flight hours I might join you once, who knows.

Thank you, I'll certainly look that up. Incidently the religion issue is one thing thant is raising doubts in my mind about MAF-I'm only really nominanly Christian but I'll go and meet them and see how conpatable we are-as they, no doubt, will do with me. I hope, though, they are pragmatic and want people who can do the job and fit in. We'll see. Thanks for the info.
