Luanda, Angola Info Request
Hi all:
It has been more than a few years since I was last in Africa proper and have never been to Luanda. I am contemplating taking a flying position based there. I am looking for any and all info for someone in my position, what it is like, how and where to live, is it safe, is the country safe, where not to go, things to insist upon, etc.? Or anything else that people in the know think is pertinent.

What you flying , where you flying too and who you flying for ...not to mention what you being paid to do all this flying of course. Angola is a very DANGEROUS country at the momnent and you will need your finger well clear of your cakehole to fly and enjoy yourself in that enviroment.
Luandas not all that bad and a good time can be had, lots of bonita molatas and Sagres beer.
If your not earning 4000$ plus Id look elsewhere...
If you get to live down Lobito way well thats nice...
Id say : Pressurised fast Twin for the govermunt (Sonogol) or UN (WFP) on 5000 plus George Washingtons and Id consider it but not for less..
Hope that helps and makes the revival of this thread worth it...
