Nimefurahi sana kwa reply yako.
Mie niko Marekani.

Wanaitaji pilots kwenye regional airlines mostly. karibia regional airlines zote huku Marekani wana get rid of all their turboprop fleet. Wanataka kuwa an all jet fleet (CRJs, ERJs, Avros, etc). Hizi airline ni nzuri kwa kujenga jet time lakini malipo yao si mazuri sana with exception of Comair.
As for the majors, uajiri si mzuri sana at the moment due to uchumi duni. Lakini wanatarajia mambo kuwa mazuri tena in the near future. Hata kama mambo yakienda vizuri, major airlines wanapendelea kuajiri marubani wenye regional airline (FAR 121) or military experience, and a 4-year degree.
Vipi mambo huko nyumbani? Ningependa kuja nyumbani kwa rikizo ya 6 months. I miss home very much. Naomba information kuhusu flying Kenya au Tanzania. Flying back home is one of those things I have to do, something that money can't buy. Nitashukuru sana any inputs from you guys.
greecer, I will email you through your hotmail account as well.

Thanks profiler for the info it seems that unless you can legally work there it's useless even looking anyway thanks for the email have replied you and the job situation in TZ is not very goo not many turboprops there but Kenya is looking good. Our national carrier is picking alot of general aviation pilot as ther are very short of crew especially with their expansion going on and that is going to create a shortage in GA so their should be alot of openings on turboprops very soon anyway if you need any further info email me again
maybe i can buy you a beer when you come on holiday

East African beer sounds really good for a change. I am so tired of Budwisers and Millers.
I will come home for a vacation in October or December. Nitakuja Kenya kuwatembelea. I would like to meet both of you guys.
Cheers

greecer,
It is really sad for Tanzania.
How is the licensing process for Kenya? Would they accept an FAA CPL for GA?
What are the requirements for flying turboprops? What sort of flight operations and routes do these aircraft do?
Please email me as much information as you can. Nitashukuru sana
I visited KQ website, it's very impressing.

well the licencing process in kenya is very frustrating like most african countries but they do accept american cpl's so no worries as i did my ATP in states as well anyway there are many turboprops in Kenya in fact pistons are few and far between and as i mentioned b4 with the upcoming shortage of crew getting a job should'nt be a problem and the flyiung you would do depends on which company you join there is anything from bush flying in the game parks to miraa flying to somalia to relief flying in sudan and even some scheduled flying on medium sized turboprops of course don't expect anything as big as there is in the states we have king airs,twinotters,let410,cessna caravans, dash 7,B1900,shorts360,buffalos,antonoves you know the older jeneration turboprops but offcourse they are very challenging and interesting to fly especially into war zones like the sudan anyway if you need any more info email me
bye
