Post Congo Trans Air ????

Does anyone know about this outfit? I heard they don't pay very well but know little else.

Is a coincidence that they're based in Point Noire, city code PNR (Point of No Return?)?

Cool

Down in 3 Greens, If you ever thought of going there.....DONT! I've been there. It is a company run by a Lebanese family. If i have to put then in a catagory, it will definately be "WANNABE". On top of it all the MD is a controll freak. Promisses of big $ salaries with no outcome. null

DI3G went down to Congo about 2 weeks ago and is flying.

I am debating if it is worth it to go there. Salary sucks I was not offered just over half what I was making on my previous contract... But If I cannot get anything else... then I might consider.

OK, OK, I got the message, unfortunately it's too late. Anyway, Joystick, I can understand how you could easily feel that way, as I've seen it happen in my short 3 weeks here; It seems one is either "in" or "out". Right now I seem to be the flavor of the month so everything is ok, but I can see how that could change at the blink of an eye. The up side is the 727 is in good shape (really) and the schedule doesn't involve any flying to "conflict" areas. So far I've managed to avoid positioning on one of the company's AN-24's.

Special thanks to the B-1900D crew, which is indeed Rossair. They let me buy into their mess and I am eating real well on less than $4 a day.

Pay is low, so I'm out of here for the first VIP job that comes, but in the meantime, JJ, we miss you. 65.6 hours over 11 days flying. This place is for you!!!!

By the way, I hooked up with your DC-8 friends in FOOL the other evening...

PS-this is a true international experience. My new best friends are 3 Iraqui's and a few Nigerians. (Apart from the Rossair guys, naturally)

I think that they may be the same company advertising for Flight Crew at www.climbto350.com
Best regards, Max

Down 3 green: You are flying in Trans Air Congo???? I recently send an email to trans air for a First Officer Position. I have 22 years old and I am from argentina. I have 2150 hours total time of which 1600 (400 as pilot in command) aprox are from metroliners II and III turbos. Do I have any chance to be selected to first officer??? I am really interested in going to fly there. I am young with no family ties so if I am selected I will go tomorrow.

For everyone's info: My wife's personal e-mail address was posted on the 350 website without her permission apparently as the recruitment address for TAC.(over 400 replies, think she's MAD???)

It is my understanding that whatever job's have been offered here have been filled, but some of us are waiting with eager anticipation to see who will show up for 2,000 per month.

Not to say, Mig that this is a put down on you or others, but 1000 total time with no jet experience just isn't realistic for this assignment.
