Would appreciate any pointers as to where one might find DC9 crews with RSA CAA.

PM for confidentiality if you wish

Rated crews are probably all employed with the current climate of opportunity being what it is.

Now, if you were to negotiate type ratings and bonding periods you could probably get a couple of takers from among the contract monkeys...

Try the Sandpit

I know that here are a couple of DC-9 captains working up in the Middle East. If Im not mistaken theyre flying for one of the cargo outfits up there. Maybe you should post this thread on the ME forum.

With the troubles at Executive Aerospace you may find DC9 crew there that are looking for a new opportunity. Don't know how to get hold of them though.

There is 1 place desperate for DC9 crew and if you are who I think you are, please:

If all the companies in SA only operated C402's, King Air 200's and 737's, we'd all pay for our ratings BUT:

Every company operates there own kind of plane and there are hundreds. We already payed hundreds of thousands to be professionals just like yourself. Please just help the industry and let the pilots sign a training bond for 2 or 3 years and there will be no problems finding any crew.

OK, the steam's out.

Good luck

Three years for a DC9 bond is a bit steep, don't you think?

Sounds about right to me. B737 rating at Comair is 4 years.

I'm one of those contract monkeys. Try not to take yourself so seriously. Stepping on your dick in public can be soooo embarrassing....
