C210 down in the Free State

Heard a rumour, that SA's lowest time Cessna 210 N, went down last weekend during the controversial SP-Air race.

The 1981 model C210N , with no more than 1200 Hours Total time, went swimming in the Koppies dam, in the northern Free State, during the SP race !!!!!!!

Any pics, would be appreciated..............

Why do you call the air race concontroversial? It happened infront of me, the C210 was just to low. Depth perception over water was biggest culpret.
