Base entry is going to be 100hrs, and Comm exams PASSED, not just written. Then the cadet will slot in at that position with the rest of the cadet course.

Snoop

SVan,

What would be the reason for this approach?

Is it to save costs on the initial phase or to add to the total number of cadets being trained at one go? (without the initial risk or Exam Pass Rate "delay...")

B Safe!

AFAIK, there are a few people who applied for the cadet scheme, and did not make it, and then went out and started to do their own training (the hard way, like all of us). These people have shown more character than some of the successful cadets, and so are now being given a second chance.

Hopefully, because the cost is reduced, the scheme may take in a few "token" whites as well!
