Tanzania Avgas Shortage Again
We are getting indications here in Dodoma that Avgas is once again running out in Tanzania. Does anyone know what is happening and is Tanzania unique or does the same situation prevail in other African countries south of the equator?

You are not alone my friend. Avgas supply is fast becoming a real problem. For the thrid time in six months, Cape Town International Airport was dry and had been dry of Avgas supply for the preceeding 10 days when I was there on Friday last week. Though my requirement was Jet A1, I heard some folk moaning that they were unable to get Avgas. I believe that they did get a delivery on Monday this week. There is without doubt an Avgas supply problem into South Africa. The coastal towns seem to suffer from what I have been able to gather and yet bulk delievry gopes into Durban?
