advert in Republikein(Namibia) news paper yesterday.

This looks to me like a classic work permit work around.
They have the guy for the job already but he needs a work permit. Immigration require them to advertise it, so they look at his qualifications and look for something, anything, that other pilots aren't likely to have. JAR-Aerotow! Just the job!! But, just in case let's make fluency in German a non-negotiable requirement too... and you fly microlights? No matter that you can often fly those on a full pilot licence anyway; many people won't know that so let's chuck that in as well. Cynical? Maybe!
If anyone wants a bit of fun, try phoning and saying you are a Namibian citizen, have all those qualifications and lots of hours, what's the deal, try and discuss the position, and when can you come for interview? You would expect them to be overjoyed, but I hazard you won't get a warm reception!

These requirements are not that difficult. One friend of mine is from that area, and he is fluent in German. Try to get him out of the Challenger or Global would be another thing...

Had a fun occasion a couple weeks ago flying some Germans......I said welcome, you are in a French Aircraft in South Africa and have an American pilot, welcome to the world.........I actually got a laugh
