Zambia - any flying jobs?
Does anybody know what the requirements are for working for different airlines / charter operators in Zambia?
I hear Zambian Airways & Airwaves have some Beech 1900's ... does anyone know what the min. requirements are to work for them? Does one need a type rating on their aircraft before applying??
How about someone lookin at them with 250-270TT with ME/CIR (30-40-ish multi PIC) and a Frozen ATPL?
Any other info would be useful. Cheers, pz.

Flying Jobs
Zambia Airways & Airwaves have now merged operationally.
Was asked to find two pilots 6 months ago who could do the Caravan and co-pilot the B1900, but I think the slots were eventually filled locally.
I think local training is keeping up with the demand.
Sorry not really up to date.
The two leased Embrayers have foreign crew included in the lease

thanks for the reply, Flying Bean.
That's what i've heard. Yeah, it's a pretty hidden market there when it comes to flying jobs. How about operators out in Mfuwe, Livingstone? I've also "heard" that Zambian Airways usually pays for the endorsement on B1900 but doesn't pay very well?
I'm just lookin at oppurtunities out there when I finish with my training. Any thoughts / suggestions would be welcome. Even bush flying for that matter!
