QUESTION FOR U.S-TRAINED NIGERIAN PILOTS
First of all,i want to thank everyone in this forum for the advice(s) given to me.i really appreciate.
At last,i've bn given the oppoutunity of joining this elite class of aviators.I've just been admitted into a flight school in the U.S (DELTA CONNECTION ACADEMY) for their J-1 program.Hopefully, once i'm through,i would have logged in more hours than M-1 students, thus giving me an edge down here in Nigeria when i return. But if u don't mind,i have a few more questions:
Once again,thanks for ur advice.

- For those that have applied for M-1 or J-1 visa for flight training, whta type of questions were asked during your interview?
- During the training, which course(s) do u think i shuld place more emphasis on?
Once again,thanks for ur advice.

Delta? Were you recruited through PPK?
My question is why are you taking the J-1 Visa? The M-1 visa will be much easier for you to grab as a Nigerian Passport Holder. And having the J-1 visa is not a guarantee that the school will employ you as an instructor after your training because you have to compete with many others especially many americans. Most flight schools in US issue that caveat.Getting the instructor ratings is also not a guarantee that you will get a job back home. Many Nigerian Pilots get employed here with less than 300hrs logged and without the instructor rating.
Secondly, i dont know what made you narrow your choice to delta, but is nt it too expensive compared to some schools where you might get individual/personal attention and quality training?
PM me if you need additional info on flight schools in US.

Allo mate & countryman(almost)
If I where you,I`d come to the UK. Why USA ? all big talk and little brains when it comes to thinking. Britain,France or Germany..can`t beat that.

US Trained Nigerian Pilots
Mecenary,I must first of all point out that I only invited a fellow airman to be properly trained to serve/enjoy the "Freedom of the Air` and not to bring his family(who may be much better off than you are..who knows?)in to a country that is busting at it seams because of your rules and regulations.
I must point out, that my loyalty to Britain started even before I was born(& probably you too kiddo).Your bent thoughts on immigrants, may be justified in many cases, but NOT ON THIS ONE! At the the end of the day,I am willing to die for you,so what`s your problem ?

Sgt Peppeh - why you wanna die for me? mmmmmmmmmmmmmh! Surely England is "busting at the seams" as you put it as a direct result of President Toni Blair and his cronies? oh! and of course that funny idea of yours the EU :-)

Die for you !
Why would I ? simple-You probably have more to live for in life than I do....possibly as a young man with a loverly family ect.ect.
secondly,I`d rather not discuss politics on this site,it`s dedicated mainly to airmen and those who love and cherish the Freedoms of the Air on Planet Earth.
Conclusion: you probably are a very nice person, but one who gets upset easily due to the constant hassle life presents.
Cheers.
The Sargeant.
