No need to read all of it! From the structure of the letter and mentioning of Babangida, etc.. it sure sounds like a 419 scam. better delete it.

4-1-9 of the highest order.................
Scan your things and send them to him so he can clone you, or better yet, marry that info with a fake passport.
If the Nigerians do anything well, its theft or fraud.......

Rani at his best, right in the middle of the pack...........
Where do you think the bulk of 419 comes from ............You seem to have missed the 200 or so 419s from Nigeria that were posted on this site....
Get a life.

hey hey common guys, i think it is really really unfair to the generality of many honest nigerians for you to condemn all nigerians as crooked. Even more, is nt it an act of cowardice for you all to hide your nationality and then condemn nigerians? tell me your nationality and i will list all your faults too.In every society there are bad eggs and crime happens everywhere.

Like i said the Nigerians reputation internationaly means that you can never do business with any Nigerian company or Nigerian for that matter without being very very carefull! You might not like it but that's the facts! I will agree that every society has problems but.... Say what you like about my country (you will not it is there) i probaly can't disagree it has it's problems. I do see that you're also hiding your nationality but i can assume it's Nigerian? It's not a personal attack it's just the facts

You people miss the point. Just because a 419 mafia ring numbering a few thousands operates (or operated) from Nigeria, you jump to conclude that all Nigerians are crooks.

You even had the audacity to allege that 419 is the only thing Nigerians do well. How about peace-keeping in Africa? How about the millions of dollars the Nigerian govt. hands out to poorer african nations? Did you forget Zimbabwe independence or the assistance Nigeria gave South Africa to anandon the apartheid regime peacefully? Perhaps that didn't serve your interests... since ALL Afrikaners are greedy, colonizing crusaders?

Your stereotypical attitude are plain pittiful. Grow up and release your negative energies more productively, because many people don't deserve your libel.

Ranting Rani, wont let it drop and is so ultra-sensitive, its no doubt which side of the fence he rides......If the conversation goes badly in his direction, he will no doubt complain to the mods that something is racist etc.

In any case, YES most know there are good Nigerian citizens, as there are bad citizens in other countries....OK.
However anywhere in the world where you mention 419 and the answer is NIGERIA. Another clue......Its big money....
Also "operated" is past tense. Its very successful today.
As to this general statement " How about peace-keeping in Africa? ". What about peacekeeping in Africa? Too me that is about as successful as Tuna fishing in the Sahara......Are your saying that Nigeria is the "African Peacekeeper".??.
Get off your soapbox and back to the topic. You want a "Ranting Rani" thread, do it somewhere where you can find someone who gives a rats A55.

Snake80, Im sure you get the drift. Stay away from Business there. You may have to deal with guys like RR. Hopefully you wont have to fly with them.

Thumbs down

Souza,

Congratulations. You've managed to unleash yet another rhetorical bomb.

I won't bother with commenting, since it's futile to make you question your choice of words here.

Have a good day.

snake 80..

i have to agree with B Sousa and his comments on this thread. Barrister Phlip is a complete toad and for Gods sake dont go heading down to that dreadful country to get your own opinion. I have been to afew diabolical places and Nigeria takes the trophy. If this offends people from that country I dont really care because I know its true.

Have some fun with this so called barrister. Pass him over to the guy at 419eater - some pretty funny stuff there. For heaven's sake DON'T send him any of your details. (Sorry for shouting - but you'll notice that Mr Fred does it - and he's supposed to be a barrister...)
Like Rani said, from the structure, the spelling and the endless capitalising this is just a new angle on the 419 scam. I'm currently stringing one along who thinks I'm going to let him buy my dive computer for £900. He sends a cheque for £4200, I bank the cheque and then send the dive computer and the outstanding balance to him. Honestly, can't these people come up with something a little more convincing? Like the cheque is not going to bounce higher than the moon...
Be very careful though. Even though these scammers are complete and utter cretins, they are not nice people. Never, ever let them find out who you are or where you are.
To prove what a bunch of morons they are the one who's trying it on with me inadvertently sent me his details. Including a landline number in the UK. Maybe I'll just pass that on to the cops.
Oh by the way, if he really wants to buy the dive computer he'll have to provide me a certification number to prove he's qualified to dive with it. Not that he has one but if he does then that is just further proof of his identity.
Oh I do love the lads. They provide some very good laughs.

Got to Digress a bit as Ranting Rani used the term Peacekeeping. It was early this morning so I picked up the newspaper and went to a local restaurant for Breakfast..
I just have to share one of the headlines..from the peacekeeping country. "Eight Foreigners kidnapped in Nigeria" Apparently some of the peacekeepers (and their pictures were shown wearing masks, I cannot imagine why) kidnapped some people off one of the Oil Rigs...........
Maybe RR is right Nigerians were just exploiting some economic differences with the use of Machine Guns.........
Why do I get the feeling Rani fits in well in Nigeria............

Bart Snouza. Never give up huh? I could go on to explain to you the plight of the Niger Delta people and the fact that it is unrelated to peace-keeping missions in Liberia, Darfur, etc. But like all blind-hearted people, you chose to highlight the worse in people and showcase it as their collective identity.

Perhaps you are tired of the so-called "affirtmative action" in your country. Just don't go on putting it on Nigerians, give them a break, they are too busy rebuilding their country.

Since this is an aviation-related forum, let us go back to aviation. If not,
I recommend that you return to your AWB camp and stop wasting our precious time!

PS. Thanks for remembering me over breakfast, I'm flattered

Oil has the potential to make Nigeria fantastically wealthy, but instead of developing the industry and spreading its benefits to all the people in the country, the government spend as little as possible on it. Just enough to keep the oil flow going and their Swiss bank accounts filled up. No thought of the future, just grab as much as possible NOW.

The oil wealth has totally by passed the people who live in poverty, hence the regular incidents of villagers breaching pipelines to steal fuel and then getting incinerated.

Despite vast agricultural potential, most food is imported at great cost. Though some former white Zimbabwean farmers are starting to change this.

What's the excuse for the mess the country is in, so much potential and so little to show for it ?

P.S. There is a Nigerian stranded in orbit on the International Space Station. Major Dada is unable to return to earth due to a funding crisis in the Nigerian Aerospace Agency (NASA), and is fast running out of food and water. I am seeking donations to send up a rocket to fetch him, but as you know rockets are very expensive. Please send me your donations, in multiples of US$10 000 to reduce administration costs and help this poor soul to return to his family.
