Sorry Fluf

Did'nt know that detail. I feel for you. I have been unemployed in the past too. The most important thing I have learned is too never let go of one branch until you have the other one firmly in hand

On history and puppets, (Prins) Gorman Inkarnati, wasn't he the prime evil enemy of "Redding Internasionaal", with that bafoonthingy-guy flying his spaceship for him?

They normally lost the dogfights over Cape Town and beyond against the South African forces every time! (Snyman or de la Rey, what were those brave hero's names?)

Who else here is that old? Well anyway, rant over.

So "hijacking" is when someone complains after hearing something they don't wish to hear, eish, that hurts! (I still wish to hear which part I used as hijacking method and where it contained any ranting un-truths?)

Forums I always thought could be constructive, but should be kept unpartial. Seems too much rhetoric here on sensitive ears. A lot of my post got itself deleted there....I thought this is a rumour network?

Seems to me the horse got himself eaten, and the cart is in for a mod, a V8 will be fitted. (BEE sure to check the brakes and availibilty of fuel... )

MF

Apology accepted mate

GI

Apology accepted mate,

You are quite correct about the tree and branch analogy. What you may not know is on the 1st of November Cantoun presented us all with written contracts of employment, and each contract was signed and counter signed by the relevant management people concerned.

We have been told by management that they will still honour the contracts and that we will be back paid the money that is owing to us, but that doesn’t help to pay the bills now.

I have fortunately been able to get another job, but there are lots out there that are not so lucky.

My point again is how stupid can management be to employ people let them sign contracts of employment knowing full well that they don’t have the money available to access for salaries, it’s a sick job.

Thumbs up A friend of mine juct got this SMS

Greeting CAI Crew Members. Trust you are keeping well. A little top up information. The CEO's trip East to meet the Investors was wholly successful. CIA is financially secure with guarantees!
Remuneration will be addressed in January. Compliments of the Season to you and Yours.

Still...CIA or CAI, it will be scrutinized. This, by the way is not how business is done.......ANYWHERE!

Who do they think they are monkeying around, or what do I say?

Beware, you are entering a sensitive market here too, like the rest of the world, bad foot to kick off from, my 2c worth!

Anyone with the latest on this Airlines money problems.

I hear that money could now be available and salaries could be paid by end of December, and the end of Dec is almost here.......

Good luck to all. Hope they can get it up and running. More jobs for crews can't be a bad thing.

Klap-toon Airways

Heard via the grapevine that these okes are going to pay all the people they hired 20% of their salaries and call it the day.

Sounds like some-one is pocketing a lot of money for himself.

Wonder what they will do with all the catering equipment they bought. Kinda show you "koffie-moffies" cant run an airline...

It is true,U cannot overfly France as P1 if U older than 60, ask Nationwide, they used a ex SAA captain on the JHB- Gatwick route over DEC and had to fly around!! Using ex SAA crew while he is getting a great big pension etc is bit unfair, if wanna use their experience they should give some instruction... U wouldn`t be so pos about it if they took yourr slot now, would U...

Cartoon airlines

Hi Guys.

These ****heads took a damn good employee from my business, doing me some damage in the process, then proceeded to keep him hanging for four months with a signed contract and not a cent paid, honestly, let's look at the names involved, with the possible exception of the"backers", not one credible businessman among them.
As for the "instructor" who was buying the aircraft, - honestly ! couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery - a history of half finished projects and broken promises !
Pity my poor ex employee with no way of meeting his home bond and feeding his wife - when will these kinds of people be held accountable?
Publish ALL their names I say, as a warning to those who would do business with them and let us not allow our friends to put themslves in financial jeopardy.
I will start with a name.......how about Keith Irwin ?
Luckily enough, my ex employee will now be a new employee as our business has expanded enough to re-emply him again.

Malagant !!!!....dude you really REALLY need to figure out your 'A' from your 'E'...

I have it on very VERY good authority that CE do indeed have ex-SAA captains BUT none that are over 60 are ever used on the JIA - LGW route !!!!! they are driving the 73's.....

I do have to agree with you, these guys need to be accountable for their actions.

The talk among those involved is that they are planning to start up in March, yes March this year… ja right, find it hard to believe as I hear still no licence applied for and the CAA have said that they will not allow the Cartoon charactures to operate on someone else’s charter licence.

I think Mr G. Doms (CEO) and the boys have elusions of grandeur and it is very sad that they have managed to thus far get away with treating fellow aviators this way
