Forget it!! Too bad.
Domestically it is allowed. Private/Corporate is OK.

Worked for an outfirt a few years ago,
We flew internationally and had a few very qualified pilots between the ages of 60-65. However, law prohibited them flying as PIC on the 747.
Typical Crew compliment was something like this:
1 Capt (under 60)
1 Capt (over 60)
2 F/O's
2 F/E's
Over 60 Capt was used as an InFlight Relief qualified on the left seat.
Best of luck

Hi Airtrans
Extract from SA-CARS Part 61-01-13:
1. No holder of a pilot licence who has attained the age of 60 years shall act as a pilot of an aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations except as a member of a multi pilot crew; provided that such holder is the only pilot of the crew who has attained the age of 60 years.
2. No holder of a pilot licence who has attained the age of 65 years shall act as a pilot of an aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations.
I haven't updated my CARS lately, but AFAIK this is still valid. It seems that operators interpret this as no PIC over 60 over SA borders for PART 121 or 135 operations. PART 91 operations seem OK.
