Post Spitfire MK26 II

I recently came across a gem - The very first full aluminium spitfire replica.

Question is how good is it ? The price tag is around 450,000 rand, to which you have to add a year of building, an engine (V6), prop and instruments....

Check out www.supermarineaircraft.co.za

Comments welcome from those that have flown one, and of course those that dream....I'd like to know if there are similar aircraft available from anywhere else in the world if you know of any.

Thumbs up

Yip Aussie (those guys that can not play rugby)

R450k does not seem to be a lot although that does not inc the engine / prop and instruments.

1200 hours to build - mmhhh is that a lot for a "kit" ?

Wish I had Real Orca's money floating around
