Carrying cargo and pax onboard an aircraft.

I would like to know what the regs say about carrying cargo and pax together onboard an aircraft, and where exactly I could find this in the CATS and CARS. If anyone out there could help me out with this it would be much appreciated.

Thumbs down whats happening in SA

its seems that south africa is becoming just like the rest of dark africa.
i heard that EAS is carrying cargo on one of there DC9 aircraft while the pax sit in front and the cargo in the back. (all on the main deck) call me stupid, but i dont think this is allowed.

and the CAA was there before the dep and did nothing.

whats going on!!!!!!!

What's wrong with combi aircraft. Did it have the proper restraints and precautions between the cargo and pax? I assume there is approved data for load and W & B calculations.
If the CAA was there it must be OK. (not)
