PPL Medical Renewal Audiogram & ECG

My South African PPL medical has just run out, I'm here in london as I converting to the UK CAA commercial/instrument, but the medical examiner suggests I find out the requirements for the audiogram & ECG

I'm 34, I know age is a factor with thease things.

Or can anyone point me to the right page on the CAA.co.za website where I can find this out.

If anyone is interested in Medical Pricing

£100 for medical add £25 for ECG & £35 for audiogram.

Just like to say my South African PPL I did is an excellent PPL, flown in the states & seen FAA & UK CAA PPL pilots I know the PPL grounding I got drilled into me at Hennies flying circus at Rand was better than than virtually all FAA PPL students and many UK CAA pilots. Instructors have said my flying was well above the average for the amount of hours I have & I know it wasnt just me.

Medical in UK

I did my medical end of last year in London.
If I remember correctly it was Dr Edgington from Gatwick that did it. He's based close to Liverpool St station on certain days. He had (what looked to me like) a CAA chart with him of exactly what was needed for my medical so there was no misunderdstanding of what was required. In my case: 30 yrs old, class 2 etc. Hope this helps mate, it sounds like you need class 1 etc etc. so I would give him a call to confirm if I were you. Can't remember wesite's name but do a google on his surname and I'm sure you'll be OK.

I keep a web page of all the 10 SA approved AMEs I know of in the UK - places like Gatwick, Kent, Central London, Bishops Stortford, Somerset, Glasgow and Hampshire.

PM me for the details, not sure if I'm allowed to put the link up directly!

ps: if you visit one for a SA PPL medical, please make sure:
1- They tick 'Class 2' not '3'
2- They fully sign against any alteration they make on it!

I've had a few cases of processing SA PPL renewals where I've had to ask for a new or re-signed certificate, for one of those two reasons.
