Arrow Zim Airforce Casa Crash

From News 24 :
A Zimbabwe air force plane crashed soon after takeoff from Harare International Airport, killing the two pilots on board, state radio reported on Friday.

The transport plane was on a training exercise when the accident happened on Thursday, an Air Force of Zimbabwe official was quoted as saying. The cause was not immediately known.

"Two Air Force of Zimbabwe pilots were killed on Thursday night when an AFZ transport aircraft, a Casa 212, crashed on take-off at the Harare International Airport," air force spokesperson Simon Matingwina told the New Ziana news agency.

Defence Minister Sydney Sekeramayi visited the crash site and also consoled family members of the two victims, Zimbabwe radio said.

Plane crashes of any type are rare in the southern African country, which has maintained high standards of aviation safety despite chronic economic difficulties that have affected the supply of fuel and spare parts.

Thursday's accident is likely to put a further dent in the reputation of Zimbabwe's defence forces after soldiers fired live ammunition in a mock battle staged at a fair in the eastern town of Marondera last September, injuring 14 spectators including children.

Three Zimbabwe National Army soldiers were this week fined and two of them were demoted for their role in the incident. - AFP/AP

Just as Mad Bob's gross human rights violations are abhorrent to those who wish to live peacefully in your country.

Don't you find this "comrade" crud so last century?

You are obviously one of the deranged one's minions. As a matter of fact I know your homeland well and what it was compared to what it is now is no credit at all to President Insanity. Many of your fellow citizens would strongly disagree with what you advocate.

They are cowards they dont speak out neither do I until provoked See who they vote for in the next election ? Not my choice because i wont vote but theirs . All I said was Rhodie the name in itself is insulting to Zimbabweans and Rhodie himself Knows that. Its fact . I need to seat with you or better still call rhodie he may fill you in and give you what we went through for you to appreciate reality . then and only then are you qualified to comment from an informed point of view. I say again Viva Zimbabwe.

Gentlemen/Ladies

It doesn't do any good to attack the person. Doing that will just degenerate into a slanging match, possibly driving the person off. I'm interested to hear how Tachi justifies his stance and still waiting for clarification on a previous point.

... seeing that we are on a thread talking about two "fellow pilots" that lost their lives it might not be a bad idea ..
