Apparently this coming Monday the plane will have registration paperwork from Uganda and gonna start operation...
Well...
I do not know how they will work out persisting problems with engine's AD and "home-made" conversion.

Legal Schmegal...
Does it fly?
Is someone going to pay the drivers good money?
If I look at the way the legality is determined these days and by whom, I say good show, get it flying!
Hire lots of pilots and pay them in Euros, lots of it

"Never knew that Uganda became a country of convenient"
My friend leave you country and fly above the equator....
The world of aviation isn't so "nice", as you think!
This is a big money business....
Welcome to the other side of the "commercial aviation"...
What do you think? All the DC-8's, from Ostend, in the past, flew only fish and flowers from/to Uganda,Congo, Ruanda, etc ....
Today, it's cheaper to use IL-76, to to the job..
...Viva Africa....but, Fly high!
Speedbreak
...but some times better to use L1011\'s!!!!

If this bunch of cowboys manage to get that heap of cr*p on the Ugandan register it will be a sad day. The Ugandan CAA has allways had standards far above those of many other African countries!! shame they might have sunk to such depths!!

I had confirmation yesterday that this aircraft has been entered onto the Uganda register and is available for Adhoc charters! The owners unable to operate from RSA are reported to be leaving RSA and I quote"due to the proliferation of "Crooks" in avaition" un-quote. What a shame that the CAA UG have stooped to such depths after being a shining light in the region by refusing to register Junk un-airworthy aircraft.
