maun?

hi everybody,
i'm the second time here in this pprune forum, so very fresh actually.
i've been reading alot of threads here and was wondering what it's about maun in botswana? is that the bushpilot mekka or what? (please try not to laugh if i'm wrong;-))))
i was reading a few threads about getting a job as a pilot in africa and read a few times about maun. and also, what does pm mean...
