Devil SNA definatley in serious trouble now

yes we all knew our national carrier will not go on for long but it seems like it all has come to a standstill.

we have not had a SNA flight for about 2 months. with the help of astreus airline from england some sna pax was carried on their airline.

I even saw our honourable minister of transport travelling on astreus last week.

i heard a rumour this morning via an hon memmber of parliament that they are filing for bankcruptcy.

another sad african airline tale

Alfred my bro, why don't you come back to CFS, finish your Com & IF Rating, then go back & take over the airline?

That way Sandy can't blame you for not knowing anything about flying, and besides, Gerald wants your moolah!

Arrow Sad News

Hey Alfred,

I really feel for you and your country.

I left this morning again but read yesterday's and today's newspapers.

If I am correct : 3 people stole $18 k yesterday and Le 60 million was stolen (as reported in this mornings paper) - about $25 k !

That is enough money to ruin a cut - throat airline that is seeking for investors and leasing company's to assist them.

Eischhhh ...

Good Luck there Alfred - all the best mate

Da Gunsss

Hey Alfred

Do you know who is actually running SNA, ie govt or private individuals that are subsidised by the govt? And who is raping it of the funds? Do you think Astreus may be making something out of the loss of SNA besides the extra pax? Give my warm regards to the rest of the boys

General

PS Francois Marais, do I know you?

hi steven brur

hoe gaandit?

well let's not be not too nasty.
let's just say the people that work for SNA (semi goverment) jus tdo not have the experience to make things work.

that ranges from VERY bad ground equipment to some top management feeding their pockets

and they could have done so well. astraeus was actually their saviour for a few months as they would have closed down earlier i think.

rumour has it that they an english gentleman with money that wants to invest in them. God bless him but he must know by now ....

a LOT of pax from sna walked over to SN BRUSSLES A long time ago already.

now astraeus and snb share sthese pax i would say from what i saw at the airport on monday

go well steven !

Alf

I don't normally post in the African forum, just reading up on other happenings. At any rate, this month's Airliner World has a photo of an Air Slovakia 757 that was acquired to operate SNA's Freetown-London service. Did this fall through?

Also, pardon my ignorance, how long of a flight sector is Freetown-London? If Astreus is doing this with a 73G, is this not strectching the range?

Cheers,
Brian

latinaviation,

1) yes it fell through

2) we operate LGW-FNA with a 757 in 186 seat, 34inch seatpitch config.
