Glad to see they all made it out:
Five survive KZN plane crash

A pilot was critically hurt and four passengers suffered slight injuries when a light aircraft crashed in the Paulpietersburg area in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday. The pilot seemingly lost control over the aircraft around 11am, after which it plunged into an open veld, Ulundi police said. The occupants managed to free themselves before the aircraft burnt to ashes.

The passengers were two couples from Europe, visiting relatives in South Africa. They had flown from Pretoria to Pongola in KwaZulu-Natal, and were on their way back when the plane ran into trouble. The couples were admitted to a local hospital and later transferred to one in Ermelo in Mpumalanga. The pilot was taken to a hospital in Piet Retief in Mpumalanga. Civil aviation authorities are investigating the reasons for the crash.

Jangys, that's a rather extreme reaction to what appears an innocent accident, isn't it!?

Do you have further details you're not sharing?
