Baron Down at Meyerton
I have just heard that a Baron has crashed in the Meyerton area. Apparently the thunderstorms in the JHB area are huge at the moment. Sadly it looks as if there is loss of life.
the flight was a recovery of an aircraft after an incident and it was on its way to Lanseria.
Condolences to the families of those who are gone!

According to E - News (rough quote) :
The pilot was "caught" in terrible storms and lost control. He was out of control when he hit overhead powerlines.
The pilot burnt in the cockpit and when the Police arrived he was burnt "beyond recognition".
Sad indeed (three in 2 days) .. eischhh

Pilot was Cornie Grobler, undertaking another recovery of a dmaaged aircraft (the Baron had landed wheels-up last week). Sad loss to the general aviation industry in South Africa. Cornie was something of a living legend.
