Does the Il-76 have visible ground spoilers? Can't really see any on the video.

Any ideas? Don't the flaps look different too:

Spoilers are clearly visible on your second photo. In your pics flaps are set 45, in the accident video 30, but that should be OK for a normal landing. T/R deploys 3 seconds after touchdown on all four.

They were training with a plane full of human cargo
Back in the day there was a requirement to be loaded to a % (85 I think) of MAUW for training, we used sand bags, perhaps others use SLF. ;) We were only permitted necessary crew on board.

The lift spoilers in the video appear to be stowed (unlike the photos which are from another location)
What issue could we looking at here ? perhaps hydraulics, perhaps something as simple as loss of weight on wheels signal which locks out lift spoiler and reverser deployment on similar types.

Fly safe TR

Is TR claiming that the T/R's didn't actually deploy?

inconclusive. I picked the pictures from elsewhere on the internet, and the first one almost certainly has spoilers same as the second, but the rear viewing angle makes them unrecognizable. Is that the case of the crash video too? Not sure.

To my tired eye the crash video does not display any significant deceleration at all. Even after the mid-point landing, stopping hard should had been achievable (my plane with far less wheels installed would!).

Why is the entire runway marked as one big touchdown zone? Aside from usual common sense, how are you supposed to know you've landed long?

If you get to the turn-around taxi-way loop before the wheels make contact you have gone too far.

I agree, the images are somewhat inconclusive especially given the position of the sun, but I would expect the deployed spoilers to be visible, even fleetingly as a darker line above the flaps and I am not seeing this at any point in the video, added to which there is no obvious deceleration until the overrun

TR deployed...no Spoilers at all...Marks on the RWY too non-sense and not helpful at all...
