Dunno how this Argentine got away with it!

According to the Aircrash Investigations Facebook page:

6/May/23. 1400hrs. Local time.
Vans RV-7A. Reg.no. LV-X722.
Further to the low pass and wing scrape incident that took place at the Allen Club Airshow in Argentina, the pilot managed to drag the aircraft back into the air and fly back to his base and land safely.
The aircraft has suffered substantial damage to its right wing and mainspar.
The owner who has not been named is being questioned by Police and Air Investigators for wreckless flying in public and endangering the public. The Airshow organisers are also being questioned.

Yup, there could have been a hell of a wreck!

Lot of YouTube vids showing South American pilots vying for The Lowest Low Flying Award along with a Darwin Award. They seem unaware of the old saw "you can never beat the world record for low flying, you can only tie with it..."

+1 for fixed gear undercarriages. They can save reckless pilots from themselves.

All been done before.
There is a very thin line with air show flying. The aim is to demonstrate what skills you possess. Not, as in this case, skills you dont possess.
If this is not a case for pulling a licence, I don't know what is, considering the 3rd party risks. Go fool around out in the desert for example, to ensure when you screwup, you dont kill others.
It should be left to the experts to demonstrate aircraft and skills.i don't claim to be one.

Udet had a flight display routine where he picked up handkerchiefs with his wing tip. Another one was to dismount (and reinstall) the entire main landing gear in flight or throw out "the" stick.

I thought Geoff Tyson did the handkerchief thing but can't find a picture online.

My late father’s flying instructor, Neville Browning, cartwheeled Tiger Moth G-ACDC (now owned by the Tiger Club, I believe,) during an air-display. My father said everyone thought he was gone, but he walked into the club house with a cut on his head muttering about ‘bloody mole-hills!’
Dad said ACDC looked liked a crushed paper bag afterwards.

I've seen a pic of 'CDC after Neville Browning's mishap at Rochester - it was a bit of a mess!

So many times over the decades, I have paused and thought to myself: "How would I explain what I just did, if it went wrong?". Then I didn't do it. I'm sure not perfect, but I really do enjoy not being thought of as irresponsible by my peers and employers!

Hope somebody posts the film of the Buccaneers at Nellis during 'Red Flag' flights.
OK they didn't actually touch the ground but it was bloody close!
Wasn't there a recent claim that a Vulcan DID touch the ground too?(and left a mark in the surface)
