Sukoi 29 down at Andrewsfield
Yikes - hope the crew make a full recovery. If I recall correctly, the Su29 has a one-piece wing... so the absence of the port half is concerning, unless the fire crews cut it off.

I was puzzled also by the missing part of the wing, I can't see it anywhere near. Yes the SU29 wing is in one piece, and it has a massive carbon fiber longeron, not easy to cut or even to shear on impact. And those titanium landing gear legs are incredible they can flex like an elastic,
Certainly looks to be some pneumatic cutting tool close by the fire extinguishers - and from what I've seen, FRS kit doesn't get fazed by much! Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
"Crews rescued a man from a light aircraft after it crashed with two passengers inside earlier this afternoon. Thankfully the passengers only suffered minor injuries."
Glad the passengers are OK. Might be a good idea to take a pilot along next time ...

Judging by the damage they were both passengers for the final few seconds. I see this airframe has featured in AAIB bulletins three times already, though the other incidents were relatively minor.

Striking parked aircraft on take off, on the crowd line at an airshow, then getting fined just short of £4000 at the ensuing court case. Not really ‘minor’.
