Jabiru collides with horse in South Oz ..

Probably one of the more unusual comings together. The passenger is OK; the pilot was taken to hospital. The horse was put down later. The Jabiru looks in very bad shape.

One of the local newspapers advised the plane was normally used for cropdusting, but in this instance was on a recreational flight. A cropdusting Jabiru? Who knew?

Looked at the pictures and not seeing the typical crop dusting gear hung under the wing so thinking the reporter thinks every plane is a crop duster

After looking at that wreck and hearing that the passenger is OK, it would appear that person has a proverbial golden horseshoe. Perhaps only recently acquired.

Many years ago there was a report of a similar prang in the Australian “crash comic “ published by the (then) Department of Civil Aviation.
A Cessna 180 (I think) landed on top of a horse. In the summary it said that the pilot was shaken, the Cessna suffered some damage, and the horse was now pet food.
