New evidence on American 965 accident of 1995.

A new investigative documentary film that presents important new evidence related to the December 20th 1995 American 965 accident, will be in selected US cinemas from Friday 9 July 2021. Cities include New York, Los Angeles (Santa Monica), Miami, Dallas and Washington D.C.
The evidence was also provided to the Grupo de Investigación de Accidentes, Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia.

I followed that accident closely at the time. Speed brakes out with LNAV taking the airplane wildly outside protected airspace. Sounds like someone is trying to make a buck or two. The Colombian investigation, aided by the NTSB, did a sterling job. I wrote and article about it for the ALPA magazine a year, or so, later.

Should this not be more accurately titled "New theory on factor/s that may have contributed to the AA965 accident" ?

I'll be surprised if anything that has emerged 25 years down the line can be categorised as "evidence".

I found out some more about the "documentary" film. It's a theory about contaminated cabin air that caused the crew to be impaired.

Yes, the director/producer, a former BA pilot, has made a number of previous films on the same theme.
