Agree , looks like it was just another deliberate stunt, each year one more to draw the crowds . Next will be the Wizzair A320 under that bridge I guess..

Back in the crop spraying days - OK with great big balloon tyres for dirt strip usage - we used to water-ski down the canals or very smooth rivers e.g. The Nile. However, the touchdown was more gentle than this. The attempt could have gone very wrong with such a clout and relatively small tyres.

I believe Nelson used to do it with cannon balls and Sir Barnes Wallis modified some water storage areas using a similar law of physics.

I thought it was brakes on as well but as Dave Phillips water skis his Tiger Moth in NZ, presumably it doesn't have to be... Unless his Tiger has brakes fitted?
