Don’t worry, I landed a Twin Otter on a closed section of 32L at PY one day. First thing I saw was the cross on the runway in the flare, then I saw people running off the runway!
Learnt that it was important to read NOTAMs in PNG after that day.
Never got sacked, subsequently got a job with an airline up there, got sick of that then joined the gliding club. Not that we had anything to glide in as old P2-CAA was (and still is) languishing in the GFU hangar.
