WHAT? Manchester Airport fund development with their own money! Come come, those days are long gone whereby they raised money from their own coffers and borrowed on the back of future returns.
Now they have to "Partnership", which means terminal expansion and somebody else tweaking the strings so that they get a return on their money.
It just rankles me that they find it almost impossible to raise the funds themselves, - surely it was more difficult when the "Corpy" used to run it on their own, but they managed it splendidly.
A parallel taxiway doesn't quite rake in the Yen !
