If you go to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and see which country are officially declared under War we find Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan etc. and EK flies there.
Usually insurances do not cover anything if the event happen in war declared zones.
The PWRT meaning can e found on internet and EK pilots do need to be covered under PWRT too.
In fact Ek life insurance for pilot covers it as well as long as we are on duty and, of course, not taking any active action. That's why it is called Passive....
Hope you have read Kabul CCI pages regarding "possible unexploded ordnance on unpaved taxiways"........if you are not covered under PWRT whoever gets involved in any "such blast" caused by others in war declared countries will get zero.
Got it? Ask you lawyer.....
