White Knight Don't be deluded into thinking that because the aircraft are full that EK are making a profit.
I know you think everything in EK is wonderful which is just as well because you have burnt your boat by joining EK as indeed have 95% of all pilots who join expat Airlines because there is no going back,taking into account seniority etc .Especially for those who were Captains in their former life and are now in the right hand seat. Once you have been sitting there for more than a year you would be unlikely to get a position as a Direct Captain anywhere else so lets hope your dreams come true.
I personally would be a little concerned about the huge expansion going on at Emirates and personally wonder how it will all end as that part of the world is not particularly stable.
You had better hope that Abu Dhabi where the real money is in that part of the world doesn't decide to take Emirates on because they cannot afford to subsidise forever.
I well remember when EK first started and those at Gulf Air dismissed it all as a joke at the time,something that they now regret.
